8 Bollywood Romantic Drama Thrillers you should definitely watch.

Bollywood is full of amazing talent and that includes various genres of movies as well. One of these genres is Romantic Drama Thrillers and who doesn't love romantic stories with a bit of mystery? All these years, we as an audience have been blessed with such movies and we can't deny that 90s was the era of them.

Just to bring back all the nostalgia, here are few romantic drama thrillers of Bollywood that we all have loved from 90s to now.


1. Gupt- The Hidden Truth

Released in 1997, this movie was commercially one of the best movies of that time as it grossed ₹250 million at the domestic box office. The plot was engaging with a mystery that you already know unless you haven't watched this movie.


2. Aitraaz

The movie is based on false sexual harassment case that gets filed on Akshay Kumar by his ex lover Priyanka Chopra. The movie also won many awards and Priyanka got her recognition as an actor from it.  



3. Darr

One of those movies where ShahRukh Khan played the villain and did total justice to his role. It was indeed a "violent love story" Kkkkkiran...



4. Humraaz

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the duo known for thriller & mystery movies. This one had an entirely unique storyline and 90s kids fell for Amisha Patel even more.



5. Shabd

Shabd was released in 2005 having an entirely different but intriguing storyline. Sunjay Dutt plays a Booker Prize winner writer with a very beautiful wife Aishwarya Rai until he crosses the line to save his career in writing by wanting to set her up with another guy played by Zayed Khan. Also, the movie has some really good songs.



6. Mera Saaya

Going back to the 60s, Mera Saaya was one of the best romantic thrillers of that time. The suspense in the movie is something that impressed the audience because movies like these were not actually made in that era as it was a lot different from regular romantic stories.



7. Ghajini

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Ghajini  was based on short term memory loss. Both the parts of the movie- A) Love story and B) Revenge were extremely good as Mr. Perfectionist was the star of the movie along with Asin Thottumkal. 



8. Shab

Shab is director Onir's upcoming movie starring Raveena Tandon, Ashish Bisht and Arpita Chatterjee. The movie is based on the struggles people face to fulfill their dreams. The music is created by Mithoon and it is undoubtedly beautiful. The movie is releasing in theaters in July, 2017 and the movie seems to be one hell of a romantic drama.
