The logo for Star Wars Episode VIII is here and with a title like ‘The Last Jedi’, there’s a flood of speculation among the fans. But wait, there’s more:
Yes. The logo is red. Intriguing, isn’t it? The logo had been red twice before: Stars Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. However, those movies were the last chapter in their respective trilogies. Being the middle chapter, The Last Jedi’s red logo has left the fans wondering what’s going to happen.
Oddly, the last two times a Star Wars movie had a red logo, an important character died. Like in Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker ‘dies’ in the sense that he gives himself completely to the Dark Side and becomes Darth Vader. It also gave us the death of Padme, along with nearly all the Jedi. In The Return of the Jedi, we saw the death of Anakin, literally this time. It also had Yoda’s last moments.
The red logo of The Last Jedi is an obvious hint that someone important is going to die in this movie. My bet is on Luke Skywalker. After all, he is the ‘Last Jedi’. Maybe he becomes one with the force this time, who knows?
But what do you think? What can be the actual story behind this logo? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
